Dr. Austin Bach is a board certified ophthalmologist, who practices in multiple locations in South Florida. He has performed hundreds of strabismus surgeries for both adults and children, and has a large repertoire of other subspecialty surgeries. Dr. Bach also has one of the busiest emergency and trauma ophthalmology practices in the entire country.
Dr. Bach graduated from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Biology. Dr. Bach continued to graduate school at Tufts University in Boston where he graduated with a Master's in Public Health and a focus in Health Services Management and Policy.
He then moved down to South Florida where he attended Nova Southeastern University for his medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine. He then continued on to his internship and ophthalmology residency at Larkin Community Hospital.
He continued his postgraduate training at the world famous Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus where he also practiced as a clinical instructor.
Dr. Bach is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
He lives in Miami with his wife, Dr. Miriam Bach, and their four children, Tzvi, Hadassa, Shmuel, and Yitzchak.
